Protect all Minnesota Public Waters Now!
Minnesota has laws that explicitly protect public waters, including the rivers and streams listed in the state’s public waters inventory. However, the inventory hasn’t been updated in four decades, and hundreds of miles of waterways are in potential legal limbo. Now the Minnesota Legislature is considering a bill to boost protections for our public waters.
Action Alert | Ask Your State Legislators to Protect MN’s Public Waters!
Help to simplify the permitting of Residential Solar Energy!
Too many residential solar energy projects face permitting delays from local governments that don’t have adequate resources to process solar energy permits simply and quickly. The “Residential Solar Energy Permitting Bill” (HF5171/SF5271) is key in aiding local governments in helping their residents participate in the clean energy transition!
Action Alert | Tell your MN Legislators: Help to simplify the permitting of Residential Solar Energy!
Say NO to Problematic Packaging!
Problematic and unnecessary packaging is filling our landfills, burning in our incinerators, and trashing our recycling system. This packaging adds unnecessary costs to our communities and pollutes our environment. The Packaging Waste and Cost Reduction Act equires that by 2032, all packaging sold in Minnesota must be reusable, recyclable, or compostable.
Action Alert | Ask Your State Senator to make recycling easier for all Minnesotans!
Share your concerns + Demand that the USDA reject NTEC’s loan application
Minnesota Power and Dairyland Power Cooperative have been working for years to build a new $700 million natural gas plant – the Nemedji Trail Energy Center (NTEC) in Superior, Wisconsin – just across the shore from Duluth. The plant would send 20% of its electricity to Minnesota, putting Minnesotans on the hook for its costs and pollution. This plant impacts Minnesotans – WE HAVE A VOICE HERE.
