Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge Geological Hike

Father’s Day at Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge (BSNWR). Established in 1975, BSNWR consists of 11,586 acres of tallgrass prairie, wetlands, granite outcrops, and river woodlands. Eleven miles of the Minnesota River flow through the refuge.
Come and hike with us on Saturday, June 14th from approximately 3 PM to 5 PM. This hike will be a geological tour of the refuge. Reservations are required and fees may apply.
There will also be a paddle on Saturday morning beginning at 10 AM to 1 PM. Click here for more information about the paddle.
Make a weekend of it and reserve a campsite or cabin at any one of the several places located along the river valley.
