Citizen Science is for Everyone!
Transform your hobbies into important scientific data! Whether you are a birder, like nature photography or simply watching lightening bugs flicker during warm summer nights you are ready to be a scientist! Citizen Science is the act of everyday citizens collecting simple data and reporting it to professional scientists who then use it for studies. Discover how you can help during this interactive presentation by Kelsey Olson.
Kelsey Olson is the lead naturalist at Sibley State Park. She has been the DNR as a naturalist for nearly 3 years, first with the Division of Eco and Water Resources as the Scientific and Natural Area (SNA) Naturalist in northwest Minnesota based out of Buffalo River State Park, then at Gooseberry Falls and most recently moving to Sibley State Park in April.
