PHOTOGRAPHY: Digital Photography on the Prairie of Glacial Lakes

July 13 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

John & Kylene Hike Graphic

Master Naturalist’s John G. White and Kylene Olson will provide 2 plus hours of tips in photographing the wonders of the prairie at Glacial Lake State Park on Sunday, July, 13th. John has been photographing the prairie for many years and most recently from his home near Ortonville and Olson is an encyclopedia of prairie plant identification and ecology.

Glacial Lakes State Park was established in 1963 to preserve the rolling prairies of the area and the rich prairie flora. The 2,466 acres is also known as the Leaf Hills and is a 10 to 19 mile-wide band of glacial hills unlike any other in the state.

Participants may bring a sack lunch to eat following the event. Dress in layers, long pants, hiking shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, water, hat and glasses.

This event is limited to 16 participants. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Dixie at 1-877-269-2873 or by registering online below.
