You are invited to the first in a series of workshops for CURE’s new program, “Right In My Own Backyard”, sponsored in part by the Lac qui Parle Lake Watershed Association.

This workshop is all about pollinators – raising awareness about the issues affecting their decline, learning how to be an advocate for pollinators at the local and state government levels, and finding creative ways to take action to protect pollinators in your community and right in your own backyard!

At this event, you’ll be Hear from guest speakers — Lex Horan from the Pesticide Action Network, Amy Mondloch from Toxic Taters, Professor Margaret Kuchenreuther from the University of Minnesota – Morris (UMM), Bluestem Prairie blogger Sally Jo Sorensen, and more!

* Pre-order native pollinator plants and pick up educational resources available from Morning Sky Greenery
* Learn about Citizen Science activities related to pollinators
* Hear pollinator poetry read aloud by UMM professor and CURE member Athena Kildegaard
* Engage in thoughtful conversation with others that care about protecting pollinators in MN
* Take part in fun pollinator trivia

Be prepared for a high-energy, educational and FUN event filled with knowledgeable speakers, pollinator poetry, community action opportunities, advocacy tips, pollinator trivia and more – space is limited, so register now if you would like to attend!

Cost of registration covers morning refreshments, lunch from the Common Cup, and a number of resources to take with you after the workshop concludes.

Check-in for the event will begin at 8:30 am, and the workshop will conclude by 4:00 pm.

We hope you’ll join us as we kick off our new program with an exciting event aimed at raising awareness and taking action to protect our pollinator friends!
