Governor Dayton often says each Minnesotan has an individual role to play in working to improve the clean water quality of our lakes, rivers, and streams for generations to come. On Thursday, August 17th, 6:30 pm at the Centers Conference Center at Southwest Minnesota State University with members of the Governor’s Cabinet to host a Town Hall meeting to discuss ways we can accelerate the pace of progress to clean water in Minnesota. We hope that you will join and be a part of the conversation as the group works to identify top priorities and key strategies. While those with a broad interest in water state wide are welcome, if the meeting is reaching capacity, priority will be given to residents of the region for seats at discussion tables.
Who should attend the meeting? Anyone who cares about water. Water is essential to life and as such, we need to understand what individual actions each of us can and will take to improve water. While Minnesota is home to 10,000 lakes and many rivers, our waters are impaired and many communities are struggling to maintain clean drinking water, wells are running dry and aquifer levels are at record lows.
We need everyone to step up to the plate and learn what each of us can do to work to improve our water in Minnesota.
