EVENT: CURE’s 23rd Annual Meeting

April 18, 2015 @ 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm

CURE invites the public to join our members on Saturday, April 18, 2015 for a day of popular education, grassroots action, business, and celebration at CURE’s 23rd Annual Meeting. The theme for the day is Growing Clean Water: Connecting Agriculture and Stewardship, and we will be presenting the RiverKeeper to Sisters Kay and Annette Fernholz of Earthrise Farm.   • 12 PM: Lunch 
    • Pre-registered attendees to CURE’s 2nd Minnesota Rural Progressive Roundtable are invited to meet other Roundtable attendees over a free lunch at the Maynard Event Center.
  • 1 PM: Minnesota Rural Progressive Roundtable
    • Growing Clean Water: Connecting Agriculture and Stewardship is the theme of our second roundtable discussion.  At the Roundtable, we will hear the stories of inspired farmers and conservation leaders and discuss the role of agriculture in delivering solutions for impaired waters and Minnesota’s ailing landscape.  A new story for agriculture will render the prevailing flawed narrative of the agriculture-industrial complex indefensible.
  • 4 PM: CURE’s 2015 Annual Business Meeting
    • You must be a current CURE member to participate in this one-hour meeting.  Memberships will be available at the door on the day of the event.

  • 5 PM: Meet and Greet; Music by Jerry Ostensoe
    • Visit with CURE’s Board of Directors, staff, special guests, and other members. Take in the  Art of Erosion exhibit by photographer John White. Appetizers provided; Cash Bar.
  • 6 PM: Local Foods Dinner Party 
    • CURE’s Annual Awards presentation and a special RiverKeeper presentation honoring Sisters Kay and Annette Fernholz of Earthrise Farm will follow dinner.
  • 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM: Kick Back and Relax; Music by Jerry Ostensoe and the Strollers
    • It is always good to have the time to enjoy the company of friends!

We will not have a Silent Auction this year.

Morning Sky Greenery from Morris will have native seed and plants available for purchase from 3 PM to 6 PM.


Separate reservations are required for the 12 PM Lunch and 6 PM Dinner. Please RSVP by 5PM, Wednesday, April 15th for each event.

Prices for the local foods dinner are:

  • $25 for Adult CURE Members
  • $30 for Adult Non-Members
  • $15 for Student/Child CURE Members
  • $20 for Student/Child Non-Members.
