EVENT: Stars of the Night Sky

Enjoy gazing at the stars? Come join local star gazing enthusiast & CURE Member Joe Hauger for a night a fun looking up at the stars. Participants will learn about different constellations, stars, and planets that can be seen with the naked eye. Saturn, Jupiter, and Venus will be particularly highly visible for your viewing pleasure this time of year! Please meet at the picnic area north of the Yellow Medicine River Campground at sunset. No equipment or registration is necessary. A valid Minnesota State Park pass is required.
DIRECTIONS: From the town of Granite Falls at the intersection of State Hwy 212 and 23, go south about one block to State Hwy 67. Turn left on 67 and go eight miles to park entrances. The first of the park’s three entrances will take you to the horse rider campground. The second entrance takes you to the main park entrance. The last entrance takes you to the campground.
