HIKE: Lundblad Prairie SNA
June 7, 2014 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for a two hour hike through one of the few remaining mesic prairies located in southwestern Minnesota. The gently rolling topography offers the opportunity to experience several plant communities, including upland prairie, wet prairie, and cattail marshes. Learn about recent restoration activities that increase the habitat opportunities provided by this SNA. Bring your cameras, field guides, sketch book, and binoculars to capture the beauty found in this diverse prairie landscape. Visit http://www.mndnr.gov/snas/
Footwear appropriate for hiking in wet conditions is recommended. There are no maintained trails. This easy hike will be approximately 1.0 to 1.5 miles in length on uneven and possibly wet terrain. There are neither public restrooms nor access to drinking water on this site.
