TRAINING: Minnesota Master Naturalist – Prairies and Potholes Region
March 10, 2015
CURE is very excited to partner with the Minnesota Master Naturalist Program and offer a Prairies and Potholes certification training. This course is being taught by longtime CURE member and Master Naturalist Kylene Olson at the CURE Office. The sessions will begin on Tuesday, March 10th and run for 11 weeks until May 19th. They will start at 6pm and end at 8:30 pm with two all day field days on Saturday, April 25th and Saturday, May 16th. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory for certification.
The Mission of the Minnesota Master Naturalist Program is to promote awareness, understanding, and stewardship of Minnesota’s natural environment by developing a corps of well-informed citizens dedicated to conservation education and service within their communities.
Any adult who is curious and enjoys learning about the natural world, shares that knowledge with others, and supports conservation can be a Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteer. If you enjoy hiking, bird watching, following tracks, or identifying wildflowers, you’ll love being a Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteer. Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteers are a motivated group of fun and interesting people: teacher, retired professionals, nature guides, hunters, eco-tour operators, farms, many CURE members and…YOU!
You will need to register at the Minnesota Master Naturalist Program site, the fee is $275 and there are a limited number of scholarships available.
If you have questions, please feel free to contact the CURE Office at 320-269-2984.
